I saw this campaign on a website for clothes shopping. The link lead me to the facebook ‘like’ page for Levis and also had the online video ad. This advertisement campaign was designed by levis company for their jeans. The campaign was designed to promote the idea that clothes should be designed for all sized women and not just one particular body type. This campaign also lead to a “calling all curves” event in Ney York and San Fransiciso where women would get their size measured by a specialist in the store and would get an idea on what curve type jean should they buy. This really helped their company because as shown in the advertisement one type jeans are not designed for all body types and Levis promoting their jeans for all women was a very smart marketing movie. This advertisement was effective because It had a very large target audience so it reaches out to many people at once and brings out a sense of conformity and makes a person feel as if they belong. It also helped raise brand awareness and they became more prominent in the jeans industry. They introduced four different type of jeans for different type of curves. This advertisement also leads to a link where a quiz could be taken by women to determine their body type so they can online shop for their jeans. The advertisement was definitely effective because it actually lead to people having an experience with the company and experience always leads to a better memory of the brand. It leads to a favoring association between a good experience and the brand.

I found this campaign appear as a side banner on various website which lead me to the video campaign. It was a very inspirational and motivating campaign. This campaign was done by Nike which was specifically targeted to women. Their theme was to promote fitness and health and rather than weight loss and they wanted their product to be associated with this healthy women image. The ad was designed to create feelings of being strong and encourage motivation. This advertisement was also tied to online social marketing through facebook. Nike created a facebook page called “make yourself” which was part of this online campaign. It required women to go on facebook and like the “make yourself” page and comment or post on the pages wall that showed that they are “making themselves” and write to inspire other women and stay committed to their physical health. To further create excitement Nike also had its famous women brand ambassadors reveal their fitness secretes on the page to create more buzz. This advertisement was definitely successful as Nike is already associated with sports and fitness, this campaign helped women get involved in getting fit culture too.
